The Dream of a Dress

My close friend has been after this dress since December or January. She has admired it from Anthropologie's window displays, enviously spied it on women who were able to pay the full price of $168, and even tried it on to find it fit like a glove and a perfect match for her complexion.
Well, when this dress hit sale, she finally took the plunge and ordered it (using a giftcard to boot) hoping this good deal of a dress would finally be her dream come true.
I'm sad to report that her dress arrived damaged without any buttons. Moreover, she told me that after a 7-month hunt for this dress, she may be done with it. Her dream, the vision of this dress, may be over. I, of course, was sad to hear that but could understand. Sometimes, when a dress is to die for, so is the search for it at the right price and in the right condition.
:(
I saw a woman wearing this Gull Wing Dress today in a cafe and she looked splendid. She was tan and flirty with her wavy hair casually tied into a loose pony tail -- the definition of summer with her dream of a perfect dress realized.

  1. Cute dress. How damaged? Maybe she could just add on some buttons.

  2. I think it's really hard to find matching buttons because they're a certain size to make the ruffles on top look good. It's such a shame!
